Rocky Dawuni Lobbies For An Ambassadorial Position

Rocky Dawuni has stated that if he’s appointed as the Tourism Cultural Ambassador, he would use his many networks worldwide to promote Ghana’s tourism industry.

The Reggae star has also indicated his preparedness to project and market the country’s numerous tourism potentials on the large international platform.

He said because his global tours afforded him the opportunity to learn more about how other countries were branding and marketing themselves through tourism, he’ll be better placed to project Ghana.

He then suggested that Ghana used its great assets, including soccer excellence, friendly people, and stable governance and economic environment to attract tourists and investors into the country.

He made the call when he paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Tourism, Akua Sena Dansua in her office.

He also seized the opportunity to inform the Minister about his new album, ‘Hymns for the Rebel Soul’. “My new album has been nominated by the International Reggae and World Music Awards for Best Music Album, while I have also been nominated for Best African Artist,” Mr. Dawuni added.

The Minister praised the Ghanaian international Reggae icon for his immense contribution, through the platform of Reggae music, towards promoting Ghana in the international community.

She also discussed possible areas of collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and the Reggae star, as well as his possible appointment as the Goodwill Ambassador for Tourism in Ghana.
