One of Africa’s most innovative young artists and Ghana’s ace reggae super star, Rocky Dawuni, returns to Temple Bar for his first performance in the US of 2003.
Rocky fuses roots Reggae, traditional Ghanaian rhythms, and turntablism to create his signature Afro Roots Hop Reggae sound.
This is Rocky’s only west coast appearance of winter 2003 as he heads to Washington DC to headline a Bob Marley Day celebration at The Nation on February 9 and then back to Ghana for the 3rd annual “Rocky DawuniIndependence Splash” on March 6, 2003 at Labadi Beach which draws over 30,000 fans.
