Half a Loaf Project artist Mohammed “Saani” Muntala has laid some hot bars on the much talked about Fire Bon Dem beat which originally had Flowking Stone, Sarkodie and Shatta Wale.

“I started music in my second year in Senior High School but paused to concentrate on my final exams.” Saani revealed. “I resumed music after exams and I just came to rap because I’ve been a fan of Hip Hop and how these rappers piece their words together and tell stories of the places they were coming from and I got inspired to tell my own stories.”

Coming from Tamale in the Northern Region, Saani laced his local dialect Dagbani around the Hip Hop production like the beat was pieced together with him in mind.

“Fire Bon Dem is a big record and with all the big artists on it and the controversy it came with, I made sure I put my best bars forward to prove to everyone how ready I was to take over the rap scene with my skill and delivery. Hearing Flowking Stone, Sarkodie and Shatta Wale on the record was a motivation for me to show my lyrical skills on the beat for music fans to know how strong my delivery and writing is compared to the original record.”

The warrior of the North with singles including Legendary, Holding On and more is believable and touches on several themes which make him an interesting lyricist if you understand his dialect.

“This is the best part of my entire life because I have seen and experienced a lot within these few months after my career took off. People are beginning to recognize me in the streets because there are visuals of me on their TV every now and then. A lot of the effort now is in making more great music and getting on more stages to engage with the audience.”
