Record producer, Willi Roi opines that dancehall artistes, Shatta Wale and Samini wasted their precious time swimming in mediocrity as they engaged in a long lyrical feud.
Samini and Shatta put up an epic show last Saturday as they performed together at Saminifest held at the Trade Fair. This was to prove to their fans that they have put the past behind them and are focused on preaching peace as the country goes to the polls.
Prior to this, they had the smoked the peace pipe on social media networking site, Twitter when Shatta Wale turned 32 on October 17.
Making a submission on Pluzz FM’s AM Pluzz, Willi Roi stated it was wrong businesswise for the two dancehall giants to have engaged in a feud.
“Beefing is for upstarts. When you get to the A-list, you have to form a strong front to make the big money. One thing which will spoil scaling up is beef. United purpose for A-list artistes is a must. All these times Samini was beefing, was it helpful? It wasn’t!
“GHAMRO, MUSIGA, too many problems all over and you people are beefing. Let’s unite, stand up and say ‘these people must go’ because they are not delivering. But if you have all these mediocrity beefing, how are we going to get our monies? There are big things to do than this lazy beefing,” he fumed.
Willi Roi believes Shatta Wale and Samini can now make money than ever by organizing shows which would have both of them on the bill.
Meanwhile Samini has hinted of collaboration and a tour after they patched their differences.
