Ghanaian comedian Foster popularly known as Romanus has disclosed MOBO Award winner and dancehall act Samini cannot sue him for impersonating him and performing his songs live on radio.
According to the comedian who joined NY DJ on Y102.5FM’s flagship morning show Ryse N Shyne ahead of the Freedom Concert slated for the 6th of March 2015 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium stated he knew several artists who had been paid to perform their own songs but ended up singing Samini’s songs on stage so he would find it funny for Samini to threaten to sue him.
“……well em, you know, I know some people who have been doing Samini’s songs on stage but still doesn’t sue them so Samini can’t sue me because me is a representation of Samini. 5 star general” he said in Patois.
The comedian whose excellent impersonation of Samini got social media buzzing disclosed Samini was his favourite artist and had been influenced greatly by him.
Until host of the show announced the character in the studio was not Samini, social media was buzzing with feeds from listeners who could not hide their love and affection for the artist.

Foster aka Romanus has been nominated in the Comedian category of GN Bank’s People Choice Awards.
