Samini comes face to face with Sarkodie on October 19

Not long ago, there was an alleged ‘beef’ between Samini and Sarkodie which cropped out from Samini’s controversial music ‘Pink Sheet.’

Samini in the song called on Sarkodie to explain why he mentioned his name in his hit song ‘Borga’ – a song which created a whole lot of clamor in the country.

Many were those who thought Samini wanted to ride on Sarkodie’s fame, thence that song. Samini however tweeted to clear the air that, “I’m not beefing @sarkodie,” and that he only “asked him to explain to me a line in his song (Borga) in which my name was mentioned.”

Sarkodie for the whole period of social media networks buzzing about the ‘beef’ kept quiet and later confessed that he can never diss Samini. “If I have to do that, I have to do [it] with the people I started with – my fellow acts,” he said.

“Samini is too big for me to try and think something [like] that about him. It’s [rather] more of me ‘bigging him up’ and trying to follow what he did from way back because he actually gave us the urge that we could move further after he won a MOBO Award,” he added.

“That respect [I have for him] can never go [away].” After this issue, the two have not mounted same stage to perform.

Samini and Sarkodie will meet at Kwabena Kwabena’s ‘Save A Life Concert’ on 19th October at the State Banquette Hall to help raise funds for the National Cardiothoracic Center.

Other artistes to join them are Efya, Becca, Okyeame Kwame, Stelle Ducan, O.J, Joojo, Afriyie, Funny Face and others.
