Sammi Awuku Weds Beauty Queen

News-One has authentic reports that the deputy Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku, is lacing his boots to have a talk-of-the-town wedding ceremony with a former beauty queen who currently occupies a top position in a Nigerian-owned bank.

Our sources from the Liberty Centre Assemblies of God Church at Abeka in Accra say Mr. Awuku, in the second week of February, personally picked forms from the marriage, guidance and counseling department of the church and submitted the forms filled and signed a few days later.

“When he was submitting the forms, he came with the lady and master, her shape, her shape, hmmm, the curves, the boobs, the backside, charley all the front and back be correct. I hear she is the daughter of one of the pastors or something like that,” a source from the church told News-One and said the couple had fixed the ceremony somewhere in May this year.

Surprisingly, Mr. Awuku, as eloquent and outspoken as he is, declined to comment when News-One reached him over the matter. He appeared rather unenthused about the issue and said he would get back to the paper in an hour’s time. His phone was off when the paper tried reaching him again after an hour and nothing was heard from him at the time of filing this report.

Further checks from within his party revealed that not many had heard about the development as Sammi Awuku had been dodgy when it came to the issue of marriage and he seemed to unassuming that his latest move had surprised many.

A source from the NPP Communication’s department revealed that Sammi Awuku’s role as a Deputy Director of Communications put a tedious and demanding responsibility on him, therefore he was advised to postpone his marriage plans until after the 2012 elections.

The source said Mr. Awuku however turned down the suggestion with an explanation that he did not want to marry next year when his party would probably be in government and that he had taken a cue from the examples of Deputy Information Minister Okudjeto.
