Actress Harriet Naa Akleh Okanteh, known widely as Auntie Bee, has cleared the air on what killed her fiancé, Bob Santo, who died about two decades ago.
It would be recalled that the stand-up comedian and comic actor, mostly known for his hilarious roles in Kumawood movies, died under controversial circumstances with many linking it to various causes.
There were rumors in the grapevine that the late legendary comedian died from swallowing cocaine in the States after he smuggled the illegal drugs into his stomach.
During an interview on Kingdom FM, Auntie Bee stated that Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, the legendary musician, took Santo and other actors in the movie industry abroad for a performance.
However, on one of such trips, Bob Santo was not feeling well when the invitation came to travel but couldn’t opt out because they were supposed to perform in a group.
Auntie Bee, who dated the comedian for six years, stated that when Santo returned to Ghana, he was hospitalized for a month and two weeks before his death.
“He wasn’t well even before the trip. But he couldn’t opt out because it was a group performance. He was even hospitalized abroad until he returned to Ghana and was hospitalized again for a month and two weeks. I was with him throughout when he was in the hospital. So where did the cocaine story come from?” she wondered.
