Rapper Sarkodie has disclosed reasons why he didn’t rap himself on his much-talked about trumpet song. The rapper again talked about why Kofi Kinaata wasn’t part of the acts who featured on the song.
Lots of critics have had their say as to why Sarkodie didn’t feature on the trumpet song.
According to Sarkodie, he just wanted to feature those young acts to expose them to the world and he added that he will be collaborating with Kofi Kinaata on a different song only that they are waiting for the correct timing and as well, the correct record.
On Metro TV when asked why Kofi Kinaata wasn’t part of the chosen, he said
“With Kofi Kinaata, we’ve talked about doing something together. Actually, his manager and I talked and it’s just that we are not getting the right time. So yes, with the right time and a good record, certainly the fans should expect something from us soon, the fans should just keep their fingers crossed.”
On why he didn’t rap on the song, he said,
“I didn’t rap because I thought the song will be too long. Even without me rapping, it’s more than 8 minutes and as well I just wanted people to know about the great talents we have here in Ghana. It’s not all about Sarkodie everyday, the people outside have to also hear about the great acts we have down here too.”
Sarkodie’s Rapperholic concert is on the 25th of December for a cool Ghc 100, Ghc 150 and Ghc 250 respectively and will witness sterling performances from the grind hitmaker himself, A.I, Shatta Wale, R2bees, Edem, MDK, Strongee, Flowking Stone.
