Big Joe Frazier, has disagreed with claims that Ghana’s most decorated artiste, Sarkodie, is the greatest rapper of all time in Ghana.
He stated that while Sarkodie is doing well, he is not the greatest rapper of all time in Ghana.
In response to Okyeame Kwame’s assertion that Sarkodie is the greatest rapper of all time (GOAT)
in Ghana, Big Joe Frazier expressed his disagreement in an exclusive interview on Hitz FM.
The veteran rapper explained that he does not agree with Okyeame Kwame.
He believes there are many rappers ahead of Sarkodie in that conversation. Big Joe Frazier said, “Greatest rapper? Sarkodie the greatest rapper of all time? I disagree; I can mention many names.”
He mentioned Lord Kenya, Obrafour, and Reggie Rockstone as his greatest rappers of all time.
“To me, I can mention about three names: Lord Kenya, Obrafour, and Reggie Rockstone. They are my GOATs. Sarkodie is doing extremely well, but I think these three are my GOATs,” he explained.
When asked why he considers them his GOATs, he pointed out that these rappers had better stagecraft and every song on every album they released was a hit.
He said, “Sometimes I factor in the stage performances. Obrafour may not give you hyper performances, but his stage presence was always exciting. Look at Lord Kenya in those days. Most importantly, their albums, Side A, Side B, and Side C, were all filled with hit songs. So, come on, I disagree with my brother; Sarkodie is not the GOAT.”
Big Joe Frazier acknowledged Sarkodie’s talents and efforts, suggesting that he may become the GOAT when he eventually decides to retire.
