Sarkodie is the most disciplined artiste – Hammer

Hammer Hammer

Music producer, Hammer of The Last Two, has revealed that Sarkodie is the most disciplined artiste he has ever come across.

Hammer, born Edward Nana Poku Osei speaking to Abrantepa on Radio Univers’ mid-morning show, Brunch2Lunch disclosed that the BET Award winner among other things is circumspect with his utterances and does not risk anything that will jeopardize his career.

The astute record producer argued that talent alone does not guarantee longevity rather, a touch of discipline.

“Most of the artistes think that if you know how to rap, that is it. You can’t be a Sarkodie with only your talent. Sarkodie is the most disciplined artiste I have ever come across. He knows what he wants, he won’t risk any scandal… and he doesn’t speak loosely. These are the things you should watch out for if you want the longevity thing,” he said.

Hammer who is known for grooming Obrafour, Kwaw Kese, Tinny, Sarkodie, Edem and many others stated that his prime expectation of persons he mentors is an exhibit of discipline which will cement their stay in the music industry.

“What I preach in the camp apart from longevity is mainly discipline. Most of my training for artistes happens outside the studio. In the studio, I point out their weakness and strength so they can take note” he noted.

Sarkodie is by far one of Africa’s biggest names in hip-hop, abrantepa.com can authoritatively state. After releasing his maiden album, ‘Makye’, Sarkodie became the first Ghanaian to win the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards’ Best International African Act.

His works have led to many industry players including Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour and Nigeria’s M.I label him as a legend.

It is obvious that the rapper has not relented on his efforts to stand out from his days on Kasahare Levels to the present. His hit songs include Baby, Borga, You Go Kill Me, Saa Okodie, Illuminati, Adonai, Onyame Nhyira, Original, Inflation, The Masses, Mewu and Mary.
