Sarkodie proves he’s still on top of his game despite downpour at Ebony’s Tribute Concert

Sarkodie proved his worth at Ebony’s Tribute Concert Saturday dawn when he was able to keep music lovers standing in the rains for his performance.

At a time when most patrons were moving away from the concert grounds in search for shelter as the unexpected rains came down, the rapper took the stage and was able to draw many back to enjoy his performance not minding getting wet.

The 2010 and 2012 VGMA Artiste of the Year winner and three times BET “Best African Act” nominee gave the audience a good treat at the Trade Fair Centre in La.

Sarkodie is known for his spectacular stage craft where he delivers the best of his hip-hop tunes which has swept major awards both locally and internationally.

In the absence of his official DJ, DJ Mensah, the rapper was ushered with magical mixes from the DJs on rotation.

Ebony’s Tribute concert was well attended by colleagues in the music industry and many of her fans to bid farewell to the dancehall artiste.

Other artistes who performed at the concert were Edem, Ras Kuku, Coded of 4X4, Gemini, Donzy, Regi-Rockstone, Nana Boroo, Kurl Songz, Kwesi Arthu, Epixode, Article Wan among others.

All the artistes did a splendid job entertaining audience with some of their hits songs.

Ruff Town Entertainment, in collaboration with the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and Kasapreko Company Limited organised the concert in honour of the late Dancehall diva.

Ebony met her untimely death on Thursday 8th February 2018 after the Jeep she was travelling in run into a VIP bus near Mankraso in the Ashanti region. Her friend Franky Kuri and Atsu Vondee, a military officer who posed as a body guard also lost their lives in the tragic accident.
