Sarkodie’s lawyer, has apologised to Ghanaians and textile manufacturer, GTP for the mention of their brand in the artiste’s “diss” song against rival rapper, M.anifest.

Speaking on Accra-based Adom Fm, the renowned sports broadcaster and legal brain said his client [Sarkodie] was overly emotional over the feud hence the contemptuous comments he made against the brand. According to him, the rapper’s words weren’t targeted at GTP in any way or meant to tarnish their image.

“I won’t beat about the bush, let me on behalf of the SarkCess family and Sarkodie apologize to GTP and all Ghanaians. When you are rapping and want to respond in a metaphorical manner, that’s one of the things that happen,” Mr Foh Amoaning said on the show.

“We (Ghanaians) have listened to his raps over the years, and we all know that’s not how he is, he didn’t in any way mean to disrespect the GTP brand. He didn’t mean to condemn the GTP brand at all,” he added.

He further went on to apologize to the general public for the “afrocentric” comment that was used in the track citing the fact that Sarkodie was very angry. He went on to warn music pundit and media personality like Mark Okraku-Mantey for the recent comments he made about Sarkodie as going “too far”.

“It’s like he was angry, the afrocentric line too. I apologise to all Ghanaians and again, GTP. But Mark Okraku Mantey is going too far with this,” Sarkodie’s lawyer remarked.

Sarkodie on Sunday released a “diss” track titled “Kanta” in reply to rapper, M.anifest’s GodMc song that taunted him and his numerous achievements as a rapper over the years.

In the track he[Sarkodie] calls out M.anifest for wearing wax print, GTP and goes on to lambast him for calling himself afrocentric.
