Sarkodie subtly disrespected me – Shatta Wale

Charles Nii Armah Mensah, founder of Shatta Movement known as Shatta Wale has for the first time told Ghanaians the bitter truth regarding how he felt disrespected by Sarkodie.

Who would have thought that Shatta had any business feud with Sarkodie but it seems some decisions by Sarkodie in the past really hurt the dancehall King.

The dancehall king of Ghana, Shatta Wale, in 2014 was featured on Sarkodie’s tune ‘Me3gye wo girl’, which listeners and fans of both camps wondered why there hasn’t been an official video for the song.

In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz today, the dancehall king shared how he felt and still feels about Sarkodie’s failure and unwillingness to shoot a video for their hit song, ‘M3gye wo girl’.

According to Shatta Wale, he always pushed the rapper to shoot the video for the song because he believed the song was going to be big, but he (Sarkodie) wasn’t willing to.

The ‘Like my thing‘ singer added that the rapper was indecisive on where he wanted to shoot the video as he always postponed the shoot until the vibe in the song died off.

He added that Sark was in a haste to shoot a video with a Nigerian artiste he featured on his track that same year.

He reminisced that he, on the other hand, couldn’t shoot a video for ‘Dancehall commando’ which he featured Sarkodie because he had no money at the time, but Sarkodie who was rich at the time didn’t support him with something small to shoot a video for that song.

With all this in mind, Shatta claims in some way, the rapper disrespected him.

Shatta revealed that henceforth he is going to charge Sark for any collaboration they work on. Shatta Wale is going to be on Strongman’s next project and has stated that Sarkodie will have to pay him before he performs.
