The second edition of the Ghana's Outstanding Women Award (GOWA) will be launched on July 23 at the British Council in Accra.
The awards would confer honours on Ghanaian women who contribute their quota to societies through charity and socio economic developmental projects.
Organizers of Ghana Outstanding Women Awards, ASKOF Productions, have envisaged an improved awards scheme as they look to bring new innovations.
Mrs. Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, Chief Executive Officer of ASKOF Productions said, ''Last year was great, as the maiden edition blew our minds upon receiving amazing social intervention projects files. Attendance was massive and this year as we launch GOWA 19, it comes with surprises, more innovations and discoveries.
"Our focus is on impact made to societies to help especially the needy, vulnerable and also women empowerment," She told the GNA.
Afia Pokua, a seasoned Ghanaian broadcaster from Adom FM, was adjudged 2018 Ghana's outstanding woman.
