A Koforidua Circuit Tribunal on Tuesday granted a self-styled pastor of the Twelve Apostles' Church a 10 million-cedi bail with a surety.
He is accused of having unnatural canal knowledge of a driver after convincing him that he needed to be prayed for.
Kwabena Ebo pleaded not guilty to the charge of indecent assault and would reappear on October 11.
Chief Inspector T. K. Nyadu told the tribunal, presided over by My G. S. Suurbaareh that the complainant, was working as a driver and living at Koforidua when Ebo arrived in the Municipality from Winneba about two months ago.
He said, on September 6, the victim met the self-styled pastor near the Jackson's Park and during their conversation Ebo told the victim that he needed prayers to save him from spirits that were worrying him.
Chief Inspector Nyadu said Ebo took the victim to his room for prayers and after rubbing his face with a liquid he became unconscious.
The victim after regaining consciousness realised that Ebo had had canal knowledge of him and when he confronted him, the self-styled Pastor pleaded with him not to inform anybody.
The victim, however, reported the case to the Regional CID, which issued him with a medical form to see a doctor. Ebo was arrested and during interrogation he said he had been framed up.
