The One Week celebration of Opanyin Kwabena Amissah, father of gospel musician Selina Boateng happened on Friday, August 26 in Kumasi but well-wishers who attended the ceremony tell Zionfelx.net the musician was not present.
According to a sympathizer who was in Kumasi to honour the memory of Kwabena Amissah, he did not see the gospel musician.
He said reasons for the “Alpha and Omega” singer’s absence was not communicated.
Selina Boateng, when contacted, admitted that she was nowhere closer to where the One Week celebration happened.
The award-winning gospel musician told Zionfelix.net that she was on admission at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital receiving medical treatment when the event was ongoing but her mother and producer represented her at the event.
Selina had been discharged from the hospital when talking to Zionfelix.net Sunday afternoon.
Funeral for Opanyin Kwabena Amissah who died on Friday, August 19 2016 is slated for September 17 and 18 this year.
