Selina Boateng has revealed she has never been asked to trade sex for financial or corporate help in her music career before.

She said a number of the women she mentors have, however, reported such situations to her.

On the Journey to Heaven programme on No.1 FM, 105.3, Taller Dee asked how the Gospel star had avoided sexual harassment over the years.

“Appearance is very important. How you appear before people gives them an idea of who you are and how they must relate to you,” she responded, per her experience.

She said it was indeed possible for someone to think of asking an individual for sexual favours but “how you carry yourself and go about your things” could make it impossible for them to voice it to you.

The Moving Forward singer noted, that an individual must make it crystal clear “they are not in for such [amorous] things,” the moment they come into contact with people in the professional world.

Selina Boateng admonished singers, especially female singers, to be demure, not interact in sexually suggestive ways or encourage sexual advances from individuals they have no romantic intentions for.
