Selina Boateng set to win 7 awards

Selina Boateng has been tipped to win seven awards at the 16th edition Ghana Music Awards slated for the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on April 11 in Accra.

She has been nominated for the Gospel Album of The Year, Gospel Artiste of The Year, Best Collaboration of The Year, Gospel Song of The Year, Vodafone Song of The Year, Producer of The Year and Album of The Year categories.

Based on her contribution to the gospel music industry, a large number of gospel music fans have declared their intention to vote overwhelmingly for her to win the seven awards.

Speaking on Adom FM’s mid-morning show, Work and Happiness hosted by Adjoa Yeboa Asuama last Wednesday, Selina Boateng revealed that she has had so many testimonies through her songs from the public.

She would also be competing with ‘Seihor’ by Castro Feat D-Black, ‘Ne3 Woho B3to Wo’ by Daddy Lumba, ‘Adonai’ (Remix) by Sarkodie Feat Castro, ‘Koene’ by Edem Feat Lil Shaker & Ice Queen, ‘Baafira’ by Stonebwoy Feat Sarkodie, ‘Pooley’ by Guru, ‘Selfie’ by VVIP, ‘Iskoki’ by Samini, ‘Alpha & Omega’ by Selina Boateng Ft Uncle Ato and ‘Hymn’ (Pentecost Soree Nwom) by Evang Diana Asamoah in Vodafone Song of The Year Award.

Selina Boateng recalled one of the challenges she went through because of her new hit album ‘Alpha and Omega’ that was sabotaged by a popular gospel artiste but still focused on God and her career.

“If you are a gospel musician, let prayer be your key because there is resentment in the music Industry,” she warned.
