Shaggy Thrills Ghana In Music Fiesta

Jamaican reggae superstar Richard Orville Burrell known in Showbiz as Shaggy thrilled Ghanaians to two splendid shows at the Accra Stadium and International Conference Center on Saturday and Sunday.

For close to four hours, Shaggy left the audience at the Conference Center where audiences had paid the equivalent of about $45 singing along with him as he dished out songs from his Boombastic days and the highly successful Hot Shot album featuring the hit song It wasn’t me.

The audience dominated by young women screamed to his every movement and crammed the edges of the stage in an attempt to touch the Jamaican.

The Jamaican’s appearance on stage gave a good indication of what was to come. Spotting a green shirt over blue jeans, Shaggy stepped on the beautifully lighted stage in careful steps. He then took a good look at the audience, took of his shades and then screamed Mr Lover lover to deafening cheers from the crowd.

What followed afterwards was endless waist wisting , great music and a high energy stage performance before Shaggy too a break.

When he returned, he drew even more cheers in the jersey of the senior national team the Black Stars and rounded up with high praise for his Ghanaian audience.

In the end, everyone agreed it was good value for money. Shaggy’s next stop in this African tour which took him first to Uganda is Angola.
