Controversial Ghanaian socialite, Afia Schwarzenegger, has criticized Auntie Naa, host of the Oyerepa Afutuo show, for interviewing the ailing gospel musician Yaw Sarpong's wife.
She argued that since the musician is not in a stable mental condition to respond to the concerns and allegations made by his wife, it was imprudent for the media personality to conduct the interview.
Schwarzenegger suggested that given the sensitivity of the matter, Auntie Naa could have conducted the interview privately to safeguard the musician's reputation, rather than publicly seeking trends.
She rebuked Auntie Naa for not properly producing and verifying the allegations made by Yaw Sarpong's wife before broadcasting the interview.
“Auntie Naa and her stupid team should bow their heads in shame!! No verification, poor production... just running for the trends, at the expense of two brands. Really? Dragging a legend like Yaw Sarpong on your cheap program was below the belt, especially when he's not in the mental state to defend himself.
"Even in court, some cases, especially divorce cases, are heard in chambers. You people will hear paaa, just wait till I wake up,” she wrote on her Instagram page.
This follows an interview where Yaw Sarpong's wife disclosed to Auntie Naa how the family has mistreated and neglected her since her husband's illness began.
She also expressed her distress over her husband's family allowing Maame Tiwaa to care for her husband, leaving her neglected.
The interview has drawn criticism from some members of the public who feel the interview was unnecessary and should not have been conducted.
