Shatta Wale, Jupitar, Episode, Feli Nuna shut down KNUST Shatta Wale, Jupitar, Episode, Feli Nuna shut down KNUST

At sixteen minutes past 1am Saturday dawn, Shatta Wale walked onto the stage, literally introduced by smoke generated by the machines. He was the headline artiste at the climax of the hall week celebrations of Republic Hall, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Seconds after he got on stage, the audience went dead silence, probably as a result of the shock of seeing ‘Korle Gonno Godfather’ finally on stage when previous hints about him being on stage didn’t happen.

Once the audience overcame that shock, they join Wale in his celebratory mood singing along to his songs. Shatta without a doubts has hits – some, maybe most radio hits after the audience sang along to every word of the songs that was part of his set.

He took his shirt sometime during his performance.

In between his set, he paused to have a word with the audience – jokes, motivational talks and silly chat – the audience cheered him on during his ‘talks’.

And for the record, he wants to teach ‘musicology or whatever it is called’ at a tertiary institution. After some forty-six minutes of performing, he walked off stage, microphone in hand and sweating knowing well that he made his fans happy.

Before his performance, the likes of Jupitar, Episode, Feli Nuna and some non-mainstream artistes took turns to thrill the audience. There was lots of giveaways by Tigo also.

DJ Bass and Lord excited the audience with dope selections in-between performances by the artistes.

Organizers, Live FM had promised that the show would ‘pap’ and it certainly did ‘pap’.
