Renowned Reggae/Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has donated a sum of GH¢30,000 to the Buz Stop Boys, a volunteer group committed to ridding Accra and other parts of Ghana of filth.
This happened on June 12, 2024, when Shatta Wale joined the group's clean-up campaign in Alajo, Accra, where he not only lent a hand to their activities but also provided financial support through his foundation.
During the event, Shatta Wale commended the Buz Stop Boys for their dedication to creating a cleaner and healthier environment.
He also encouraged the youth to participate actively in maintaining cleanliness.
"I came here to simply support and motivate them in their efforts. We all know that the system is hard, so if we have people like them going to communities to make sure our environment is safe, I think they deserve support.
"So through my foundation, I deem it right to support their campaign, and I hope they would go on in making our environment clean to promote healthy living," he said.
The Buz Stop Boys have been instrumental in clearing choked gutters across various communities in Accra, earning widespread praise from Ghanaians on and off social media for their work.
Shatta Wale joins the list of personalities who have stepped forward to support the group in their fight against sanitation challenges in the country.
