Shatta Wale calls out ‘pretentious’ Sarkodie after ‘free Tema concert’

Sarkodie’s decision to honor a long-term promise of staging a concert in Tema attracted commendations from people who felt the show was long overdue.

In fact, some musicians across the country expressed readiness to perform for free and indeed, did so in honour of Sarkodie who was eager to give back to the community that supported him in his journey to becoming a successful rapper.

But it does appear Shatta Wale holds a different view as he has made a cryptic post.

Shatta Wale, who used to have a cordial relationship with Sarkodie until the latter unleashed a ‘diss’ song directed at him, in a tweet, suggested that an artiste who claims does not perform for free has suddenly staged a free street show.

“First they were pretending they don’t perform for free but Ghanaians are just like security cameras they are watching and recording all these Free street shows they putting up.. shatta movement No size #Prophecy”,” his tweet read.

Shatta Wale’s tweet has caused outrage on Twitter, with followers of Sarkodie labeling him “skin pain” artiste who is threatened by Sarkodie success.

Others also warned the dancehall artiste to stop being a hater and congratulate Sarkodie for organizing a successful show.

Sarkodie’s Tema Music Festival was crowned with a concert at the Chemu Park on Sunday, October 27.

The event which attracted over 50,000 music lovers, saw performances from Stonebwoy, R2bees, King Promise, Medikal, Fancy Gadam, and many others joined Sarkodie to entertain fans at the concert.
