In recent years there has been a surge in the ambition of some Ghanaian celebrities and players in the showbiz industry to venture into politics.
This year has seen many popular personalities who have publicly declared or confirmed their desires to run for political office.
Ghana’s finest rapper Okyeame Kwame has expressed his displeasure regarding some celebrities in Parliament who are deep-rooted in the creative arts industry but are not making any impact for the industry.
Speaking to Afia Schwarzenegger on Aben Wo Ha on Kasapa 102.3 FM Tuesday, the Rap Docta said Shatta Wale will make a difference in Parliament if voted for.
He noted that showbiz personalities vying for Member of Parliament, must be persons willing to serve the interest of the creative arts firm.
According to the ‘Small small’ singer, Shatta is bold and has the demeanour to speak against corrupt practices.
“Shatta has the potential to make a difference when voted for as a parliamentarian, he is bold and will always speak out against deeds that will not inure to the development of the country.”
