Sally Mann has once again targeted Shatta Wale, labelling him a “local champion.”

During a discussion on Angel FM, some panellists defended the Dancehall artiste, arguing that his collaboration with global superstar Beyoncé on the hit song "Already" proves he is the most internationally recognised musician in Ghana.

They insisted that Shatta Wale cannot be categorised as a local champion, given the unmatched achievement of working with Beyoncé.

However, in response, Sally Mann, an avid critic of Shatta Wale, pointed out that even the much-publicised Beyoncé collaboration came with several restrictions, including a ban on performing the song.

“Have you ever seen him perform the ‘Already’ song anywhere?” she questioned. “He can't perform it because he doesn't have the rights.”

The host, who had been defending Shatta Wale throughout the discussion, insisted that no amount of criticism from Sally Mann could tarnish the artiste’s reputation.

Sally Mann countered, “He’s already down, that’s why he’s always fighting for attention. Now, he’s resorting to the up-and-coming musicians to maintain his relevance.”

In a recent interview on Adom TV on November 10, 2024, Sally Mann disclosed that she, along with other media personalities, had plans to end Shatta Wale’s career.

She explained that their primary objective is to push Stonebwoy toward winning a Grammy while sidelining Shatta Wale in the process.

According to Sally, their reason for targeting the "On God" hitmaker stems from what she describes as his ongoing disrespect for traditional media in the country.
