Come March 6, 2016, Ghana would be 59 years old and the official Ghana @59 Concert, #PulseTurnUp, prior to the anniversary has already been rechristened ‘Ghana-Meets-Jamaica’ by patrons for a simple reason.
Three of Jamaica’s biggest artistes would meet Ghana’s very best dancehall acts in a super stage-clash, at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 7pm.
GH dancehall hotcake and king of the streets, Shatta Wale goes face-to-face with the ‘In Di Streets Yute,’ Alkaline; while king of the stage, Samini meets the energy-god, Elephant Man.
Stonebwoy, on the other hand, squares it up with Kranium; while MzVee and Kaakie complete what is known as the most powerful dancehall bill ever to storm the Accra Sports Stadium. .
The General Manager of Fantasy Entertainment, Verus Nartey, said #PulseTurnUp “seeks to gather thousands of spirited and committed Ghanaian youths, for positive socialization, motivation and networking on Ghana’s 59th Anniversary.”
He added that “considering that physical tickets will not be out before February 15, 2016; and in order to make it convenient for event-goers, early-bird tickets can be secured through MTN Mobile Money from today at only GHc20 by dialing *777#; to avoid buying tickets at Ghc50 after Feb 15.”
