Following Sally Mann's claims that she and several other industry stakeholders held a meeting to deliberately push Stonebwoy’s agenda at the expense of Shatta Wale, the Shatta Movement boss has responded.
Recently on an Adom TV show, Sally Mann disclosed that she, along with a few others, had a closed-door meeting with the goal of advancing Stonebwoy’s career, particularly because Shatta Wale has no regard for traditional media.
Sally made these comments while criticising Stonebwoy, whom she believes has been speaking too much and unnecessarily in recent times.
"For the past three years, we’ve held caucus meetings to push your agenda because Shatta Wale doesn’t respect traditional media,” Sally said.
"We came together to push you toward winning a Grammy. But now, you’re deviating from the plan by responding to Shatta Wale. How dare you respond to him? The agenda is to sideline Shatta Wale and elevate you, but you’re making it difficult for us. Don’t be a puppet for Shatta Wale," she added.
Sally Mann’s statements sparked massive reactions online, especially amid long-standing rumours of a deliberate effort to sideline Shatta Wale.
Prior to this development, Shatta Wale has also repeatedly expressed concerns over what he perceives as industry gatekeepers conspiring against him, sabotaging his career, and diverting opportunities away from him.
He even pointed out that some media outlets have imposed a ban on his songs.
But recently after Sally Mann spoke, Shatta Wale, who feels vindicated has taken to social media to share his response.
“Dem say dem do meeting to bring me down ooo,” he wrote in a mix of Pidgin and English, alongside a post on Twitter.
