TV personality Chris Kata has challenged views expressed by Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, suggesting that the Nigerian musician Wizkid is not superstar.

Shatta Wale in an interview last week disclosed that he doesn’t see anything extraordinary about Wizkid, and does not understand why people hail him. This, he said, was contrary to the popular notion most of his colleagues have about the artiste.

“We are living a life where upcoming youths are watching people get surprised of my achievement because they don’t have a mind to elevate themselves.

“I don’t see Wizkid to be too much for me but most of my Ghanaians and Ghanaian colleagues see him like that. But I want Wizkid to see me and be like wow not otherwise because what is talking is your pocket, property, investment,” Shatta Wale stated.

Responding to Shatta Wale’s comments on Celebrity Fanzone last Saturday on GH One TV, Chris Kata argued that everybody is aware Wizkid is a superstar and Shatta Wale’s opinion can’t change that.

Chris Kata stated; “I expected a more diplomatic approach to his [Shatta Wale] answer and you that this always sparks beef between two countries and there is no need to spark beef between two countries. On Facebook I said, ‘Wizkid is a superstar, there is no doubt about it. Globally we know he is a superstar. That is my opinion.”
