Sherifa Gunu Delivers Baby Girl

Credible information available to peacefmonline.com indicates that soul singer and Globacom (Glo) Ambassador Sherifa Gunu has successfully given birth to a bouncy baby girl.

The singer welcomed her first ever baby on Thursday May 12, 2011 in Accra.

This information therefore comes as a vindication to Peacefmonline.com earlier report that Sherifa was pregnant.

Peacefmonline.com lenses captured Sherifa on stage at the just ended Ghana Music Awards Festival in the Dome with her big belly.

She was on stage with promising singer Efya to pay tribute to vintage Ghanaian International band Osibisa. Sherifa was spotted in a black top and black and white pants with authentic African beads around her neck and her wrist; with a visibly protruding belly through the dress.

Regan Mends, Sherifa’s manager, confirmed this to peacefmonline.com on Monday, in an exclusive interview. According to Regan, a private Islamic outdooring will come off in a week's time on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at her Osu residence.

After this, a traditional outdooring and Sherifa’s traditional wedding will come off together on the same day at the end of this month or early next month in her Northern Regional hometown.

Sherifa and Efya during her last public appearance at the 2011 Ghana Music Awards Peacefmonline.com investigations reveal that the father of Sherifa’s new born baby and her husband to be is a Nigerian businessman whose name was given as Ikechuku Sunday. The two are expected to tie the knot after outdooring their baby girl.

Sherifa is currently promoting her second album titled “Kutani” (How are you?) with a video of her first single “Biigno” presently showing on TV. Sherifa Gunu was reported to be working on a song on her upcoming album with R&B super star, Craig David.

The duet with Craig David, according to reports, will be on her yet to be released 12-track album which features artistes like Michael Adangba, David and Punani. The album is expected to be released soon in Accra and Tamale.

She is also planning a nationwide tour with her new record label PN Promotions based in London. The tour is scheduled to take off in July this year. Sherifa’s first album, “Laari”, was released in 2005.
