The most successful female traditional artist in Ghana, Sherifa Gunu has wished all Muslims a happy Eid Al-Adha.

Eid al-Adha, an Islamic holiday also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice.” The holiday is the first of four days when Muslims sacrifice meaningful things to them, typically sheep, cows, chickens and goats, which they slaughter, cook and share with family, friends and the poor.

Eid al-Adha also marks the end of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 10-day pilgrimage Muslims take to Mecca. Hajj is a pilgrimage all Muslims must take at least once in their lives.

Extending her Eid Al-Adha wishes to all Muslims on her facebook wall sighted by Razzonline.com, Sherifa Gunu who hails from the Kingdom of Dagbon, in the Northern Region of Ghana, and was born in to a royal family, posted a beautiful photo of herself clad in an amazing African print and wrote:

Sherifa Gunu who is getting ready to release her newest single track titled ‘Kelewele’,is well noted with the hit songs ‘Mbrantie,Yumyantaaba, and Biigno’.
