Sir George Music Production

If a song or an album is hot in the streets, do you music lovers ever wonder who are the ones behind it apart from the sound engineers, artistes featured, the studio the song(s) was or were recorded?

Sir George Music Production is already taking it to a whole new level as it has released Bak Tye’s second album from its camp.

Sir George Music Production is a music production house, artiste management and event organizing body, which has been in the music industry for seven months and has two of the finest hiplifers – Tatale and Bak Tye.

For now, Mr. George Odame popularly known as Sir George is focusing on Bak Tye’s new album thus promoting it nationwide and beyond.

The juicy news is that Bak Tye will be headlining a concert in Tamale to launch his “Fameko” album very soon.

Sir George attended F. V. Nanka Bruce Middle School, HOTCASS and then followed up to Accra Academy. He then went to School of Medical Laboratory (Korle-Bu) to study Laboratory Medicine and has graduated as a Labotory Technologist, and now runs his own medical laboratory.

Ghana Music.com: So, Sir George how did a Medical person like you get into the music industry?
Sir George: Initially, I wanted to help Pizo but after DJ Willy introduced Bugy to me, I decided to produce the two of them and that led to the birth of the group name Tatale.

Ghana Music.com: So how did Bak Tye also join your camp?
Sir George: For Bak Tye, he was yearning to come out with his second album and wanted me to handle it. Sir George who has been in the music industry for seven years says if everything goes on well, he will introduce a gospel artiste very soon.

Since Sir George Music Production is also into event organizing, it has taken a firm step to organize more events that are memorable and one of such kind was at Winneba.

Luckily, for Sir George, the day of the show coincided with the Aboakyere Festival of the Winneba residents thus radio stations did free adverts and LPMs for them.

The show took place at the Liberation Square and all the artistes on bill (Kofi Nti, Boli, Tatale and Bak Tye) did a great show.

Ghana Music.com: What really goes into managing and producing an artiste?
Sir George: Much goes into recording, producing and managing an artiste. First, you have to spend much time to see to it that everything is in order and secondly, you have to provide funds for the making of the album successful.

It is tedious combining my work and music but I have good workers who can help me out.

Ghana Music.com: What do you have to tell hiplife artistes and producers or in other words, what advice do you have for them?
Sir George: All artistes should spend much time writing lyrics. Producers should come together in order to help move the industry forward.

Sir George ends by saying that Bak Tye’s new album is a BOMB because of guest appearances from Kwaw Kese, Kofi Nti and Castro. Each song has the occasion it goes with.

Get a copy and you will see what I mean. For now, he plans to stay in the music industry as long as his artistes bring out good music.
