Sis Debbie’s ‘Borla’ video out

Deborah Vanessa Owusu-Bonsu also known as sis Debbie has released a video for her ‘Borla’ Song. The song seems to be addressing relationship issues ranging from cheating partners to abused girls but knowing Deborah she might have anything in mind.

The Sister of Wanluv de Kubolor, herself not shy of the controversy tag also recounts how a guy pursuing her called 36 times , lavished dollars on her such that she grew wobbly only to realise that after serving the ‘lola’ to his new guy he now treats her like ‘Borla’ (waste or filth).

The ‘Uncle Obama’ singer explains friends warned her of the Casanova ways of her man but didn’t listen adding “if you no dey see my value, den charley am sorry”.

Sis Debbie provides some crisp singing and rhymes making the sound easy on the ear. The switch from mild to high tempo is commendable as well.

The video produced by Prince Dovlo is simple yet exotic.

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the University of the Arts London graduate is certainly taking her music seriously. Enjoy!
