Ghanaian music sensation Kwabena Kwabena recently shared his thoughts on the phenomenon of 'fast music' in Ghana's music industry.

During an interview on Hitz FM on July 3, 2024, Kwabena Kwabena attributed the trend to the increasing influence of social media and TikTok challenges.

He noted that songs now tend to quickly gain popularity, only to be replaced by the next big hit.

“The trends today do not permit music to be evergreen. This is mostly due to the recent culture of social media and TikTok challenges. The moment a new challenge is on and the next one comes, the older one gets replaced quickly,” he expressed.

Despite his reservations, Kwabena Kwabena acknowledged that the younger generation seems to enjoy this fast-paced music culture.

He emphasized that, ultimately, music is about entertainment, and he has no issue with the current trend.

“But the current generation seems to be enjoying it. It's entertainment at the end of the day. I have no problem with it,” he added.
