Award-winning Zylofon media artiste, Becca, born Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong's latest photo has generated some controversy on social media with a section of the public questioning the complexion of the musician.

A photo sighted by YEN.com.gh on an Instagram account bearing the name Nkonknosa, believed to be that of the “You lied to me” singer, has led many people to debate about her complexion.

The picture appeared to be ‘lighter’ version of the singer and it has sparked a social media debate.

Some people are reportedly drawing their conclusion that the singer might have bleached to look fair.

Others were of the view that it was only the camera which was deceiving some fans and followers of the musician at the time the photo was taken.

The picture which has since started going viral showed the lady in the picture covering her face with her palm.

The lady in the photo also had an emerald ring on her finger.

Recently, the musician attended a ball at the State House and supported veteran musicians by buying a vintage xylophone which reportedly belonged to Ghanaian music icon, Agya Koo Nimo.

Becca last year staged a phenomenal concert to mark 10 years in the music industry.

Many Ghanaian and international acts graced the occasion as they joined hands to thrill patrons at the night of music.

The issue of bleaching took center stage some time back in Ghana when Fuse ODG took cosmetic company, Nivea on in a campaign to get them to pull down an advert which he considered was promoting skin bleaching.

Prior to that some female celebrities including Hamamat Montia, Paulina Oduro and actress Nana Ama McBrown Mensah had started a campaign against skin bleaching.
