Music Producer, Posigee has revealed some secrets about the smoking habits of artistes that come to his studio to record music.

Speaking to Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM, he explained that most musicians use marijuana as a source of inspiration during the creative process of recording music.

He said he does not smoke but inhaling the smoke affects him just like the smoker so he steps out when the environment gets uncomfortable.

“They say it gives them inspiration but I don’t understand. With some of them, the inspiration doesn’t even come and with others, they already have the inspiration but their mind tells them to smoke before”, he revealed.

When asked if he buys for them and whether he smokes too, he said “no, it’s expensive. They say they buy it at GHc 1000 or GHc 700. They come with it and you can’t ask them to go out and do it. I go out when they are smoking but highing dier I really get high. There was a time we were recording an album in 2013 and the artistes themselves pointed out that “Charlie Posigee, you make high”. So when that happens sometimes I open the door down.

He also said some artistes also do a mixture of alcoholic substances with marijuana instead of smoking directly.

Posigee went further to say the drink gets them to act funny.

He narrated a scenario where an American artiste once took in the drink and went to start the ignition of someone else’s car.

Posigee has been a beat producer for the past 14 years.
