The feeling one gets while listening to Dela’s latest song, “Fa Me Ko” is like having a mental orgasm, artiste manager, Mel Kwasi Davis has observed.
Mel posits that the level of musicianship that went into the song leads one on to enjoy, yet finds no suitable words to describe the feeling.
Since its release on December 20, 2017, “Fa Me Ko” has garnered positive reviews from analysts and music lovers.
Record producer, Willi Roi has rooted for the song as he has described it as a world class piece.
“If you’re looking for examples of music that can make impact, this is one. There is an interlude, there is an intro, there is a verse and a chorus structure. Fantastic music! Fantastic production!” he said on Zylofon FM when the song was up for review on the Judgement Board segment.
Assessing the song, Mel who had realised how difficult it was for an ‘overwhelmed’ Willi Roi to describe it said, “Anyone who knows the rudiments of music, whenever he hears a great piece, his reaction is indescribable. And like Roi, the musicianship he is hearing is just giving him a mental orgasm.”
“Fa Me Ko” is a groovy highlife-inspired mid tempo piece performed by Dela and produced by Quophi Okyeame.
Touted as a couple celebration song, “Fa Me Ko” tells the story of how a lady eventually accepts to marry a man who longed for her hand in marriage.
Enjoy!
