The 23rd spy film in the James Bond series 'Skyfall' will premier on the 2nd of November in Ghana and, will coincide with the 50th anniversary celebration of the James Bond movies famously brought to life by the original writer, Ian Flemming.
Ghana’s entertainment hub, Silverbird Cinemas in Accra, will be the first to host the premier. Directed by Sam Mendes and written by John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade respectively, Sky Fall 007 tests James Bond's loyalty to M as her past comes back to haunt her.
After an operation in Istanbul ends in disaster, James Bond is missing and presumed to be dead, and the identities of every active M16 undercover agent are leaked onto the internet.
In the aftermath, questions are raised over M’s ability to run the Secret Service, and she becomes the subject of a government review over her handling of the situation.
When the service itself is attacked, Bond's sudden reappearance gives M the pretext she needs to seek out Raoul Silva, a dangerous villain claiming a personal connection to both of them – but as he follows a trail from London to the South China Sea, Bond soon finds his loyalty to M challenged over secrets from her past.
Kwaku Yankson - Marketing Manager of Silverbird Ghana Limited remarks ‘we are very excited to be hosting him this Friday and we are encouraging all fans to come and have a feel of him at the cinemas. It will certainly be a night to remember. Just grab your tickets and come interact with him in your own way.’
The premiering of Sky Fall is sponsored by Vodafone Ghana and Melcom Group of Companies.
