The spirits of the about 20 high school students who were killed in a freak accident at the Kintampo waterfalls in the Brong Ahafo Region in 2017, have been haunting their teacher.

This was revealed by Prophet Reindolf Oduro in an interview with Abeiku Santana on his Atuu Show.

According to the man of God who is popularly known as Eagle Prophet, the dead students blame their teacher for their tragic death.

"The teacher explained that he can't sleep. Whenever he closed his eyes, he was chased by the ghosts of the students. They blamed him for their death because he received the prophecy directly," Eagle Prophet said.

Giving an account of what happened, Eagle prophet explained that, though the said teacher a week to the excursion, heard him prophesy about death, he ignored the caution.

"He informed his pastor about my prophecy and his pastor downplayed my prophecy. His pastor told him to sow a seed to avert any death and he prayed for him. His pastor further asked him to proceed with the excursion."

He (Eagle Prophet) got to find out in a meeting with the teacher and a popular Kumasi based journalist.

"He confessed to a renowned journalist in Kumasi about his ordeal, so they called for a meeting at Golden Tulip".

Up to 20 students died after a storm at a waterfall popular with picnickers in Ghana caused trees to fall on them while they were swimming on March 19, 2017.

Wind and heavy rain appear to have caused the accident, in which large falling trees trapped daytrippers in a pool at the bottom of the Kintampo waterfalls, one of the highest in the country, in the Brong-Ahafo region.

Surrounded by mahogany trees and sunbirds, the three-stage waterfall is about 70 metres high, and its pool is often found full of people cooling off in the spray.

Rescue teams used chainsaws to cut through the fallen tree and free those trapped underneath.
