The second edition of " The Stars of the Future," the talent search entertainment programme begun yesterday at the Shippers Council in Takoradi.
The executive director of Charter House, Theresa Ayoade, at a media interaction in Accra said Charter House, the organisers of the programme will this time introduce the Freestyle Dance Champion, a new entertaining package to the singing and comedy talent stars search.
She explained that Charter House?s aim of organising the event is to develop talents in youth and give them the needed support to become talented entertaining stars to satisfy both local and international audience.
She said, Charter House has for the best talented singing star a car, one year recording contract and cash.
The comedy and dance stars will also take home ?20 million cash and one year performance contract. "The estimated cost for the second edition of Stars of the Future is about three hundred thousand dollars," she added.
Theresa Ayoade explained that Charter House will focus on talented persons between 18 and 26 years for the second edition of Stars of the Future.
The Star of the Future should be charismatic, confident, should be able to speak the English language and must have a good attitude.
Madam Ayoade noted that though Charter House?s aim is to produce the best for local and international entertaining industry, language barrier is a major challenge since the programme so far satisfies the anglophone countries only.
She said Charter House would address that challenge.
The Cape Coast auditioning will be held at the Cape Coast Hotel today, in the Ashanti Region on March 31, at Miklin Hotel and on April 13, at Erata Hotel in Accra.
So far the winner of the music category of Stars of the Future, Irene Logan is working on a recording album which features Jane Awindor, for second runner-up.
Her album will be launched soon by Charter House.
A similar success story can be said of the winner of the comedy category, David Oscar and Foster, the runner-up. These two are now very popular household names in Ghana?s stand-up comedy industry.
