The national theater was set ablaze last Thursday night as the twelve contestants of stars of the future reality show put up fantastic showing. They were greeted with chants and screeches by their fans and the audience who were seeing them perform for the first time. The new face on the performance stage and presenter of the fifth season, Sedem Ofiri was on hand to commence the show in his own way. He looked amazing in his outfit and vindicated the trust the organizers had in him. The dynamic Patch Bay Band, a twelve man band treated the audience to their renditions of a few classics peeping them up for the nights purpose. At that moment, they were the toast of the crowd who had filled the auditorium including several stars like Funny Face, Asem, Praye, Efya amongst others. The showing by the twelve contestants on the night will pass for a perfect performance as several of the audience described it. Songs performed on the night included Down by Jay Sean, What’s my name by Rihanna, Grenade by Bruno Mars, Storm is over by R. Kelly and many more. The judging panel made up of Zapp Mallet, Kiki Banson and Doreen Andoh were quite excited with the performance of the contestants but challenged them to do better in the second performance per their comments. They reassured them of their preparedness to transform them into successful musicians. Admission to the weekly performances scheduled to come off at 7Pm every Thursday at the National Theater will be free. Patrons are encouraged to come out in their numbers to support their favorite contestants and also vote to keep their favorites in the competition by texting their names to the MTN short code 1750.
