As the 2024 TGMAs approach, debates over who deserves to go home with the prestigious Artiste of the Year award still rage on.

Adding his voice to the debate, media personality Halifax Ansah-Addo has picked Afrobeats legend King Promise over Stonebwoy for the plaque.

According to him, Stonebwoy may not necessarily need the ‘Artiste of the Year’ award.

Speaking on UTV's United Showbiz hosted by MzGee, Halifax stated that any further recognition given to Stonebwoy would be for "bragging rights."

He said that King Promise appears to be the one with a greater hunger for growth and needs it more than Stonebwoy.

“Stonebwoy doesn't really need it (Artiste of the Year award). Maybe just for bragging rights.

“But between him and King Promise, who needs this to grow better? King Promise seems to be more hungry for it,” he said.
