It was obvious that when Stonebwoy made the 40- year statement about artistes at the 4Syte Music Video Awards, he never thought he could be misunderstood like this until the aftermath.
At the moment, even though he has explained himself countless times to the media, it is shocking that some people are still finding it difficult to forgive and forget the statement.
The latest person to have added his voice to this discussion is the CEO of Rufftown Records popularly called Bullet who thinks he sees the statement to be more spiritual than physical as some people are assuming.
In an interview with Sammy Flex on the Real Talk platform on Sammy Flex TV, the record label boss has opined that all underground artistes should pray to whichever God they have to avert such spiritual statements which have the tendencies to stall their careers.
“There are somethings people take for granted, but for me and being someone who understands both the physical and the spiritual world, I see beyond just mere words. Music is made with spirit and that can be a good spirit or a bad spirit. Artistes are powerful and their words carry enough weight if you ask me. When Stonebwoy first made that statement, I actually took it lightly until he said that the statement is not for shallow-minded people because it is metaphysical. That was when I decided it and said oh okay so this has a deeper meaning than it has been imagined yeah?. Sammy, artistes should not joke with this at all. It`s my wish that all artistes will pray to avert this negative statement else it would have an effect on them” he revealed.
He was smart to have added that he has broken that jinx from his record label already and that it will not take 40 years for him to be able to raise artistes up in the industry.
“I can even use 40 days because I have done it before. We all saw what I did with Ebony and Wendy Shay and I can promise you, Sammy, I can do it again with any artiste I will raise” he noted.
Bullet also touched on the discussion going around that artistes fan base is the bane of the music industry in Ghana but he condemned that assertion adding that it`s never a true statement from any angle.
