Nigerian comedian Woli Arole has taken a strong stance against Christians who frequently criticise the popular Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show.
The Season 9 edition of BBNaija premiered on Sunday, July 28, 2024, sparking backlash from some social media users.
However, in response to the criticism, Woli Arole took to Instagram to challenge Christians who label the show as "ungodly."
He urged the Christian community to focus on creating their own "godly" reality TV shows rather than complaining about existing ones.
Arole highlighted that there are many Christian billionaires who could potentially fund projects of their own. "Stop complaining about BBNaija. Create your own Godly reality TV show! If you don’t support it financially, you have no right to dictate how others should behave. There are Christian billionaires who can fund such shows. Period."
This season of BBNaija features a unique theme centered around duos, with 28 housemates entering the show in pairs, including besties, family members, and partners.
The competition will run for 13 weeks, culminating in one winner who will take home a grand prize of ₦100 million, including an SUV.
