In a thrilling interview with Akua Sika on Ayekooo, a show available on Happy TV’s YouTube channel, actress Vicky Zugah shared her remarkable story of perseverance and determination.
Vicky revealed that settling in Accra, specifically in East Legon, was not an easy feat for her. “I was one of the first people to settle in East Legon when it was still a new site with new buildings and infrastructure,” she recounted.
With no place to call her own, Vicky had to rely on unconventional means to get by. “There were times I had to sleep in an incomplete building, or sometimes in a ‘kiosk’ or even on the bench of my mother’s chop bar,” she shared.
Vicky emphasized that her life was not always easy. “Everybody has a story,” she said. “But the problem with this generation is they think you can use shortcuts to get there. They want overnight success without putting in the work.”
Vicky’s mantra is simple yet profound: “If you don’t serve, you can’t become a master.” Her journey is a testament to the power of hard work, perseverance, and dedication.
Akua Sika is the host of Ayekooo and Happy Evening Drive, which airs weekdays from 7 pm to 10 pm.
