President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour popularly known as Obour, has appealed to the executives of the New Patriotic Party to support Gospel musician, Evangelist Diana Asamoah in her upcoming ‘Abba Father’ concert.

He made this appeal during the press launch of the concert at the Oak Plaza Hotel on November 10, 2017.

According to Obour, Evangelist Diana Asamoah has been a staunch member of the NPP and it would only be fair for the party to give her the needed assistance for the concert, especially now that they are in power

“Many will say that Evangelist Diana Asamoah is not just a musician but also a politician and luckily for her, the party that she has always supported is the party that is in office now. Please, to the executives of the NPP and the sitting government, in my position as MUSIGA president, I am calling on you, this is one of your own, give her all the needed support for this event”, he said.

He also expressed his delight with the Gospel musician’s appointment as a tourism ambassador and debunked any assertion that it was due to her affiliation to the ruling government.

“We are happy that she has been appointed a member of the tourism ambassadors. I think that is something she deserves, not by virtue of the fact that she was affiliated to a certain party but she herself through her events... I think she's one person that can also push the course of this party ahead,” he reiterated.

Obour also promised that MUSIGA will provide Evangelist Asamoah with the needed logistical support.
