Knaf Couture (Ghana)
Kayda Nana Afriyie Frimpong of KNAF COUTURE derives much of her inspiration from her home country Ghana, its culture and its textiles. Although relatively new, KNAF COUTURE has a dedicated following and has been featured in Florida runway events such as the No Limit Fashion Show as well as in DC’s Fashion weeks. Anita went to find out about the inspiration behind the label. It was founded in November 2008 and is currently a fair trade minded Fashion Design Company in the United States, which donates a percentage of every garment sold to the foundation.
Bella Roma venue & Opera singer (Ghana)
Ghana is famous for its beaches, football, gold and the friendliness of its people. One doesn’t always get to experience things Italian in this country! Anita made her way to the Bella Roma Venue to see Kokui Selormey perform an opera piece.
George Weah (soccer star Presidential candidate in Ghana)
Born and raised in Liberia, George Weah used his God-given abilities to go places and achieved what was thought to be unreachable for many Liberians. From his days with Young Survivors in Claratown to the days of Tonnerre of Cameroon, and on to the world’s best title with AC Milan, he remains humble and generous to family, friends and, amazingly, the entire country of Liberia. Anita spent a day with this soccer legend.

DSTV Mobile recently launched mobile television which ensures that subscribers get premium DSTV content and programming including live football matches and news on their mobile phones. Studio 53 checked out this event.
Takers (behind the scenes)
Studio 53 got an invite to interview the hot cast and crew at the behind the scenes shoot of the movie, Takers such as TI, chris Brown, Idris Elba, Matt Dillon and Zoe Saldana. The film is about a group of bank robbers find their $20 million plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective.
Freedom Day Festival (in Gabon & Sao Tome)
Freedom Day is a South African public holiday celebrated annually on April 27. It is about celebrating freedom and commemorating the first non-racial democratic elections held on that day in 1994. South Africans worldwide join in the festivities in different ways, Grace discovered how South African Embassies in Gabon and Sao Tome celebrate this memorable day.
Mo Asumang (Berlin)
Fareed recently travelled to Berlin and met with German actress, singer, TV presenter and director Mo Asumang. She studied singing in Berlin and during her studies, she worked as a bartender, cab driver, dishwasher and model.Mo now runs her own production company in Berlin.

IK caught up with Nigerian musicians Ruffman and Ofa at the music video shoot of their collaborated song, Love Like Dis.
