Tattooed Ama K. preaches on skin bleaching

Call her the rave of the moment and you wouldn’t be wrong as the award winning actress and TV presenter, producer, host/mc-Ama K.

Abebrese is in the news again, and this time she is sending her candid advice to all the celebrities, wannabes, boys and girls, papas and mamas who have indulged themselves in the act and art of re-creating themselves starting from their skin color.

The actress who was recently invited with Nana Ama McBrown to Dar es Salam, Tanzania for the 1 year memorial service of Tanzanian superstar actor Steven Kanumba, who died last year, posted this morning on her Facebook page this, “Please do not mention names, its not about putting anyone down or judging anyone who bleaches/tones/lightens their skin.
Just want us to love our skin, and not risk skin damage and skin cancer, just for the sake of being a few shades lighter.

Despite the negative stereotypes, Black is beautiful, whatever our God given tone, dark, caramel, light etc.”

Remember she also have two new tattoos (one on her hand and the other on her leg) and recently she showered praises on them, see

My tattoos are just pretty – Ama K. Abebrese.

Do you think she has the moral right to pass such an advice knowing well that tattoos can cause skin problems such as granulomas (red bumps caused by inflammation) and keloid scars, and they can provoke allergic reactions, making skin itch and break out?

Or isn’t it a case of preaching virtues and practicing vices?
