Born Lukeman Baidoo, Ghana’s undisputed rapper known in showbiz circles as Teephlow, is poised to win big at the 19th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) which comes off tomorrow, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The rapper who’s signed onto Spyder Lee Entertainment for five (5) years, expects nothing but the best as he has been nominated for two categories for the VGMA.
The ‘Warning’ rapper has been nominated for Best Rapper Of The Year and Hip Pop Song Of The Year, (Phlowducation and State Of The Art).
The rapper is nominated in a stiff competition with the likes of Sarkodie, Kwesi Arthur, Strongman among others in different categories.
Teephlow, who recently released his hit song christened: ’Preach,’ has stirred lot of controversies which scores of fans believe it’s a diss song to attack his colleague, Strongman.
These two (Strongman and Teephlow) were at the final at the next Big Thing in Gh and since then attention has been given to both parties for their contributions to the hip-pop genre in the Ghanaian music industry.
According to Teephlow, he is grateful to Spyder Lee Entertainment and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Nduom, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, for coming in to revive his music career by signing him.
“We need people like Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, Nana Appiah Mensah in the entertainment industry to help young ones get to the top,” he told Weekend Today in an interview.
Spyder Lee Entertainment is a subsidiary of Groupe Nduom, a multinational conglomerate.
