Ghanaian actress and movie producer Kafui Danku has publicly endorsed former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the upcoming December 7, 2024 elections.

Speaking in an interview with Hitz FM’s Doreen Avio, Kafui Danku highlighted the NDC's proposal for a 24-hour economy as a significant step towards creating more jobs and addressing the current economic challenges.

"The 24-hour economy is a laudable idea. There's going to be more jobs in the system. People are idle now; people can't even feed. There’s going to be more jobs in the system so that we can catch up," she stated.

She emphasised that the right industries would be developed to support this concept, ultimately leading to a robust economy.

Danku also expressed optimism that the NDC's plans would address the high cost of living and the exchange rate which has been described as being in a free fall.

"For those who have been unemployed, they are all going to be employed. There will be a very robust economy. Things will get better, and I'm sure this exchange rate matter would be solved eventually, and then the cost of living will be much better than it's been," she added.

Her endorsement of Mahama and the NDC comes as the party continues to campaign for the upcoming elections, promising significant economic reforms and improvements.

NDC flagbearer and former President John Dramani Mahama will be competing against Vice-President and NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, New Force Movement leader Nana Kwame Bediako, and Movement for Change leader Alan Kyerematen.
